CS&S (Compact Sports & Specialty) is the first open sports car equipped with Toyota's hybrid system, the HYBRID SYNERGY DRIVE.
With the HYBRID SYNERGY DRIVE placed midship and equipped with E-Four (Electric 4WD system), we created a midship/4WD layout that provides outstanding drivability.
By driving the rear wheels with both an electric motor and a gas/petrol engine while driving the front wheels with an electric motor, we succeeded in providing the joy of driving of a sports car in addition to ensuring outstanding environmental performance.
