Possibility to serve as a mobile power source to power home appliances

Toyota's hybrid system, the HYBRID SYNERGY DRIVE, is equipped with a high output generator and batteries with the world-class output to weight ratio. Its system output capacity is sufficient to supplement electrical needs of one household.

An inverter and a converter are integrated within the Power Control Unit of the HYBRID SYNERGY DRIVE. AC to DC and voltage conversions can be controlled freely.

Although no vehicle with HYBRID SYNERGY DRIVE capable of supplying household electricity has been released, it is technically feasible to make such a vehicle available anytime.
